There had been very few reported narrow gauge industrial railways recently operating in Belgium. A brickworks at Ploegsteert was operating until 2001 when it was replaced by a conveyor belt. A railway at St.Niklaas serving another brickworks was in use until about 1996, but this has also been replaced by a conveyor belt.
