This railway ran between Felsopeteny and the MAV main line railway station at Bank. A distance of approx 5km. These pictures were taken by Rudolf Tyller.

Clay was transported in skips and transferred to standard gauge wagons at Bank.

The train is seen at Bank again. The railway had 2 C50 diesel locos for the line work.

For much of the distance the tracks follow the roadside.

Usually there were 2 to 5 pairs of trains working, with the working day finishing about 2:00pm.

Two battery electric locos work underground hauling the skips to the surface. These locos orginate from the DDR.

A year earlier one of the battery locos is seen coming out of the mine.

On this visit trains were only going as far as an unloading point 0.25km away from the mine.

A view away from the loading point at Felsopeteny, with the loco sheds directly ahead. The main line curved round to the left.

The spare C50 was in the shed. A third C50 was present but was just a rusting hulk.
