On the far right two tracks led to the loco shed, and the two tracks in the centre of the photograph lead into the tipping shed. The shed on the left had been connected to the railway at one stage with disused tracks enbedded in concrete still visible. The tracks also led behind the camera to a another tipping platfrom and a traverser.

The railway also had an interesting self propelled crane mounted at the end of a bogie wagon. This was probably used when lifting or laying track.

Some of the peat was shipped out in bulk using road skips, so after loading with peat, the wagon was positioned end-on for the skip lorry to pull the skip onto the lorry for transport elsewhere.
