Alan Sewell visited the chemical factory at Baupte in July 2001. Although access to this railway is difficult, views of the yard can be obtained from the boundary fence at the rear entry to the works. The railway only operates during the summer months, from about May to September.
Loco No.01 was an unidentified 0-4-0, and was seen shunting in the yard.
A further loco was seen arriving in the distance, seen here to the right of the lamp post.
It is thought that these locos are probably 1949 built LLD locotracteurs, but any positive identification would be appreciated.
No.01 again, hauling a rake of 4 wagons to the unloading shed. A a railbus/converted coach was also seen from a distance, painted shade of orange and possible used to take workers into the peat fields.
