This railway runs between Felsopeteny and the MAV main line railway station at Bank. A distance of approx 5km. These pictures were taken recently by Rudolf Tyller.
Clay is transported in skips and transferred to standard gauge wagons at Bank.
The train is seen at Bank again. The railway has 2 C50 diesel locos for the line work.
for much of the distance the tracks follow the roadside.
Usually there are 2 to 5 pairs of trains working, with the working day finishing about 2:00pm.
Arriving at Bank
Two battery electric locos work underground hauling the skips to the surface. These locos orginate from the DDR.
